Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected and processed when you visit amc-engineer.com (the “Website”) or contact its owner. It is written to comply with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”), the Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD), and the ePrivacy Directive as implemented in Spain.

1. Data Controller

The controller responsible for your personal data is:

  • Adrià Martínez i Colomer — the individual who owns and personally maintains this portfolio website (“AMC Engineer”).
  • Location: Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
  • Email: [email protected]
  • Website: https://amc-engineer.com

This is a personal, non-commercial website. The controller can be contacted at the email address above for any privacy-related request.

2. What Data We Collect

2.1 Contact form

When you use the contact form, you voluntarily provide: your name, email address, optionally your company/organisation, the subject of your enquiry, and the message content. The form requires you to actively confirm consent to this Privacy Policy before submission.

2.2 Technical and usage data

Because the Website is hosted on GitHub Pages and delivered through Cloudflare, certain technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and request time) may be processed in server and security logs by those providers for the purposes of delivering the site and protecting it against abuse.

2.3 Analytics data (only with consent)

If — and only if — you give consent through the cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 collects aggregated, pseudonymised usage data (e.g. pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type) with IP-anonymisation enabled. No analytics tags load before consent. See the Cookie Policy for details.

We do not sell your personal data. We rely on the following providers, who act as data processors or independent controllers for their respective services:

  • Formspree (Formspree, Inc.) — processes and delivers contact-form submissions to the controller. See Formspree Privacy Policy.
  • Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) — analytics, only after consent. See Google Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.) — DNS, CDN and security. See Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
  • GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc. / Microsoft) — website hosting. See GitHub Privacy Statement.

4.1 International transfers

Some of these providers are established in or transfer data to the United States. Such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards under the GDPR, including the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

5. Data Retention

  • Contact enquiries: kept only as long as necessary to handle your request and any resulting relationship, and then deleted or archived in line with applicable legal obligations.
  • Analytics data: retained according to Google Analytics settings (user-level data retention is configured to a maximum of 14 months).
  • Security/technical logs: kept for short periods by the hosting and CDN providers for security purposes.

6. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data; request rectification or erasure; restrict or object to processing; request data portability; and withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected].

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, AEPD), www.aepd.es, or with your local supervisory authority.

7. Cookies and Consent

The Website uses only strictly necessary storage by default. Analytics cookies are loaded exclusively after your explicit consent and can be withdrawn at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Full details are in the Cookie Policy.

8. Data Security

The Website is served exclusively over HTTPS. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data; however, no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
